Dr. Barbara Fredrickson, a full professor in Social Psychology, is the recipient of the inaugural 2014 Christopher Peterson Gold Medal.

Dr. Fredrickson won for her work as a leading scholar studying positive emotions and their role in the promotion of individual and collective well-being. She has provided key contributions to the advancement of knowledge in positive psychology through peer-reviewed articles published in prestigious journals and her book publications, including Positivity and Love 2.0.
